Walkerville Rotary Clubs newest member Tanu Pareek takes us to India providing some interesting insights into a developing country.
India has a developed nation status by 2047 plan (Viksit Bharat) and Tanu highlighted some of the key features of this plan. In doing so she explained that the middle classes lived relatively privileged lives. In some ways coming to Australia was a step down for many Indians.
Regardless the experience for her of living in Singapore and now Australia for her and her family was a valuable opportunity to expand their horizons. The Rotary Club is pleased to welcome Tanu as we too have our horizons expanded by her presence.
WE were also pleased to welcome Andrew Johnson, Walkerville Councils new CEO and Morialta Rotarian. This was an excellent opportunity to introduce ourselves and maintain our good relationship with the council.
